Guus Harmsen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Frank Galfrè when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 21 minutes into the match, Guus Harmsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Frank Galfrè. Valdieri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Guus Harmsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Guus Harmsen might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Galfrè. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guus Harmsen ran back to his position shaking his head. Guus Harmsen scored 5-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frank Galfrè, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Cannavacciuolo made a kick off.
