The crowd rose to their feet as Axel Davus kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ivan Chiuzbaian. That made the score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. Freddy Tilens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Freddy Tilens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İlhami Akyazıcı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aime Bernage didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Freddy Tilens to make any attempt to save it. 82 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Shaun McLae came free, but Ivan Chiuzbaian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Emil Wielopolski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Primitivo Grau struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Freddy Tilens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-. After 90 minutes of play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Petre Iftode made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddy Tilens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olov Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
