Marcus Sjöö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Passos in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Passos in the 6th minute of play forced Monia&Ibrahim's goalkeeper Marcus Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 7th match minute, Monia&Ibrahim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sten Pil to maneuver through the defense. Marcus Sjöö showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Lucas in the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Monia&Ibrahim's goal looked a bit too open when Laerte Lucas came free, but Marcus Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Dusett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldo Medeiros having to interfere. Marcus Sjöö stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernandão Recife's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Monia&Ibrahim's Marcus Sjöö played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Antequera in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros got control of the ball when Inge Collin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Yu Song Cheng kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Christian Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Medeiros was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Inge Collin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Inge Collin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 43rdth minute of the game Torgny Fernström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Laerte Lucas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marcus Sjöö was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Monia&Ibrahim's Edgar Rosén got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Passos to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcus Sjöö made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Christian Passos sent off a good shot on target. Montevideo's Laerte Lucas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Sjöö in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 58 played minutes Monia&Ibrahim got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Åke Johnsson. In the 58th minute Mário Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Sjöö saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sten Pil during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sten Pil kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christian Passos in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcus Sjöö prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ronaldo Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Collin in the 67th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Marcus Sjöö successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Christian Passos in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcus Sjöö, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Wilson Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Witomir Naujasodis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torgny Fernström in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldo Medeiros saved Montevideo from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Marcus Sjöö successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Montevideo getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Natanael de Godoi hit a great ball. 95 minutes into the match, Christian Passos notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Monia&Ibrahim's Marcus Sjöö. Marcus Sjöö was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Montevideo's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
