After a defensive mix-up in Maccabi Netanya's zone, Rainer Marthaler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raul Zoff came out of the goal and Rainer Marthaler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5th minute of the match CA Juventud Unida got a corner. Maccabi Netanya's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jesus Fix ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led CA Juventud Unida's Jesus Fix to fire away a dangerous shot which Raul Zoff despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, CA Juventud Unida's goal looked a bit too open when Tadmor Netaniyahu came free, but Robustiano Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Zoff made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Saverio Petrigai sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Saverio Petrigai sped through Maccabi Netanya's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Raul Zoff. Rainer Marthaler scored 2-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raul Zoff, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rainer Marthaler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Raul Zoff made a huge save. After 28 minutes, Braulio Iyan made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Raul Zoff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rainer Marthaler, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Rainer Marthaler did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-2 to the left of a surprised Raul Zoff 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Braulio Iyan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, Saverio Petrigai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Juventud Unida fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rainer Marthaler to strike the kick off in the second half. Ahmet Danış Keçecioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Robustiano Calvet made a huge save. Raul Zoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rainer Marthaler in the 60th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, CA Juventud Unida's goal looked a bit too open when Terry Silver came free, but Robustiano Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raul Zoff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karel Patočka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 69thth minute of the game Braulio Iyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maccabi Netanya's Raul Zoff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Tadmor Netaniyahu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Calvet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CA Juventud Unida's Jesus Fix was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Raul Zoff in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Raul Zoff stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rainer Marthaler's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Gelacio in the 88th minute of play forced Maccabi Netanya's goalkeeper Raul Zoff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Saverio Petrigai made a precise shot to the right of Raul Zoff. Maccabi Netanya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-2. Raul Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Gelacio in the 93rd minute of play.
