The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when Falckner FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Librado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gianluca Vialli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gianluca Vialli to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner led Falckner FC's Olaf Ciempa to fire away a dangerous shot which Pankracy Glogowski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Gianluca Vialli put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Pankracy Glogowski. Club Atlético Atlanta made a substitution. Pankracy Glogowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Falckner FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
