Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornelio Quilo in the 3rd minute of the match. Mariano Ugaitz made in the 4th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cornelio Quilo. If Ponciano Abarca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lazaros Kabantais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ponciano Abarca in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tincho Palermo in the 17th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Tincho Palermo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tincho Palermo in the 20th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Ponciano Abarca put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lazaros Kabantais. Los Materos FC's Lazaros Kabantais proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Los Materos FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Ponciano Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot. River CBBA's supporters rose to their feet, but Ponciano Abarca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lazaros Kabantais breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

River CBBA's Juan Funes was substituted for Ponciano Abarca. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Funes was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Materos FC's goalkeeper Lazaros Kabantais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 54 minutes Los Materos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sergio Batista who took care of the corner kick. Lazaros Kabantais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Funes in the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, Carlos Larpe recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Barovero. Carlos Larpe showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Los Materos FC made a substitution. Oier Lopez de Toro replaced Haydar Genişyürek. Aaron Molina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. River CBBA made a substitution. Gilabert Bradi replaced Hector Enrique. Argoitz Abeijon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Lazaros Kabantais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Sergio Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Kabantais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lazaros Kabantais came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by River CBBA's Sergio Batista. But to his dismay, Sergio Batista quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The throw-in from Mariano Ugaitz in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by River CBBA's Deng Xing Sang. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tincho Palermo in the 85th minute of play forced River CBBA's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Mariano Ugaitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Los Materos FC booed when River CBBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deng Xing Sang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tincho Palermo in the 96th minute. Mariano Ugaitz hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Juan Funes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lazaros Kabantais having to interfere. The Los Materos FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented River CBBA from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
