In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Teodosio Sergi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kind of Blue's goalkeeper Wilhelm Galle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Cordario in the 19th minute of play forced Kind of Blue's goalkeeper Wilhelm Galle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Velez Sarsfield's Teodosio Sergi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Käller in the 38th minute of play. Wilhelm Galle made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Olliver Van Meirhaeghe sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Käller struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Teodosio Sergi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kind of Blue. Sven-Oskar Carlsson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The Velez Sarsfield players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kind of Blue were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sebastian Käller stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
