In the 17th minute, C.del.U FC's Denis Sein dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. The Loco De Remate fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Loco De Remate's Rene Aires looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Håkan Wennersten made the kick off in the second half. Denis Sein's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Walmir Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Denis Sein got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walmir Catarinense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 74 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Wennersten came free, but Walmir Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Wennersten in the 74th minute of play forced Loco De Remate's goalkeeper Walmir Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rene Aires scored 2-4 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felipe Tajo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Loco De Remate made a substitution. Clodoveo Christobal replaced Rene Aires. Loco De Remate's Delmar Chumo was substituted for Bruno Medero. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Loco De Remate's Clodoveo Christobal in the 82nd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Felipe Tajo was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for C.del.U FC through an amazing save. Clodoveo Christobal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Felipe Tajo made a huge save. Andres Musko struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Walmir Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.del.U FC. 94 minutes into the match, Loco De Remate's Clodoveo Christobal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felipe Tajo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Loco De Remate booed when C.del.U FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Ospin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Loco De Remate walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
