Sergen Şahbender was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Ouagadougou National's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on FC Ouagadougou National's corner Sergen Şahbender fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kıvanç Yücesan quite easily take care of the ball. Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 11thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kıvanç Yücesan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 16 minutes into the match, SC Pfullendorf's goalkeeper Kıvanç Yücesan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jedrzej Kiszkiel. In the 20th minute, Abdulla Baia made a precise shot to the right of Kıvanç Yücesan. SC Pfullendorf's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Argyris Zagorakis might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rene Vereijt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Argyris Zagorakis ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Argyris Zagorakis in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Rene Vereijt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SC Pfullendorf getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. David Moya hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Sergen Şahbender could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Kıvanç Yücesan however easily saved by the left post. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Argyris Zagorakis in the 29th minute of play. Rene Vereijt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Argyris Zagorakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute Abdulla Baia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kıvanç Yücesan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Rodríguez came free, but Rene Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Argyris Zagorakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Argyris Zagorakis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rene Vereijt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 46 played minutes SC Pfullendorf got a freekick which was hit by Mario Galnares. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Kıvanç Yücesan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jedrzej Kiszkiel's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Rene Vereijt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Rodríguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 59 minutes into the match, SC Pfullendorf's goal looked a bit too open when Jedrzej Kiszkiel came free, but Kıvanç Yücesan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Vereijt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Rodríguez in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Jedrzej Kiszkiel made a precise shot to the right of Kıvanç Yücesan. After some careless play in the FC Ouagadougou National defense, 彭森银 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rene Vereijt. The FC Ouagadougou National fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rene Vereijt should have stopped the shot. SC Pfullendorf made a substitution. Huang Sheng replaced Sydney Tepedino. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jedrzej Kiszkiel in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kıvanç Yücesan saved SC Pfullendorf from getting behind. In the 79th minute Abdulla Baia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kıvanç Yücesan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Pfullendorf getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Huang Sheng hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Pfullendorf players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Ouagadougou National.
