Zé Paulo Zonta, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Martin Crușeveanu hit a great ball. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle United's goalkeeper Mikolaj Jerzyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isac Hojbota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thomas Vollmar in the 14th minute of the match. Mikolaj Jerzyk made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ricardo-Enrique Bochini sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute Adam Pacholewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isac Hojbota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC Politehnica Timisoara's Ştefan Costin in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thomas Vollmar was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Vollmar came free, but Isac Hojbota reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Newcastle United's Mikolaj Jerzyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 54th minute of play. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mikolaj Jerzyk. Mikolaj Jerzyk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Mikolaj Jerzyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With his leg Isac Hojbota managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Newcastle United's Pankracy Malicki fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Newcastle United's Thomas Vollmar in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Thomas Vollmar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 85 minutes into the match, FC Politehnica Timisoara's goalkeeper Isac Hojbota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thomas Vollmar. Ricardo-Enrique Bochini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mikolaj Jerzyk having to make a save. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Vali Maghiar was substituted for Ernest Manea. 95 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Rizea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Mikolaj Jerzyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FC Politehnica Timisoara were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Newcastle United for a fine match.
