The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emil Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Erserman in the 7th minute of play. Inter de Chillán's Albino Zenteno managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Benito Cala in the 17 minute of the game. Emil Arendarski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Erserman in the 23rd minute of the match. Rickard Erserman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Arendarski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aage Hill in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Björnberg saved Inter de Chillán from getting behind. Monte Hermoso Beach were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Inter de Chillán's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Viktor Petrus took the corner. Inter de Chillán's Vatan Enfal was substituted for Rickard Erserman. Benito Cala made in the 35th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fulgencio Pudes however managed to control. Emil Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vatan Enfal in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Monte Hermoso Beach's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tobías Izamit was slow to take the kick. During this time Inter de Chillán's players had a chance to rest. Monte Hermoso Beach's Emil Arendarski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vatan Enfal in the 48th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Monte Hermoso Beach's Siro Suarez was substituted for Fulgencio Pudes. The wind increased when Hector Montrel made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Monte Hermoso Beach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Petrus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Inter de Chillán defense, Hector Montrel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Björnberg. The Inter de Chillán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Björnberg should have stopped the shot. Emil Arendarski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Abel in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Montrel in the 62nd minute of play forced Inter de Chillán's goalkeeper Anton Björnberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hector Montrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Monte Hermoso Beach's Emil Arendarski got control of the ball when Vatan Enfal tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Abel got free with Emil Arendarski in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 74th minute Hector Montrel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Björnberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 played minutes Inter de Chillán got a freekick which was hit by Mercurio San Martín. Emil Arendarski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vatan Enfal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 79 minute of play. Monte Hermoso Beach's Genaro Eskuin was substituted for Viktor Petrus. In the 87th minute, Fernán Chiquillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Montrel scored 2-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton Björnberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo was substituted for Samuel Abel. Genaro Eskuin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anton Björnberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genaro Eskuin, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After 95 minutes Inter de Chillán's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Genaro Eskuin who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eladio Araujo in the 98th minute of play forced Monte Hermoso Beach's goalkeeper Emil Arendarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Monte Hermoso Beach were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Inter de Chillán for a fine match.
