In the 25th minute, TIBURON F.C's Lázaro Quintana seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lázaro Quintana the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of TIBURON F.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lázaro Quintana had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The goalkeeper, Maximino Merexildo, was totally fooled by MIT's Romeo Gherghescu, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. TIBURON F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enzo Peres in the 32nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as MIT's Tiberiu Caramarin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maximino Merexildo. That made the score 2-0 after 37 minutes of play.

TIBURON F.C's Carolo Llorenc was substituted for Clemente Azeari. Dorin Banu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Maximino Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paco Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MIT made a substitution. David Tunander replaced Dorin Banu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiberiu Caramarin in the 69th minute of play forced TIBURON F.C's goalkeeper Maximino Merexildo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calistrat Madgearu having to interfere. Tiberiu Caramarin might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Merexildo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiberiu Caramarin ran back to his position shaking his head. Maximino Merexildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin in the 79th minute of play. David Tunander struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Maximino Merexildo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MIT. MIT made a substitution. Bogdan Bucataru replaced Alex Balotă. Calistrat Madgearu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Markus Heimrath in the 86th minute of the match. Maximino Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The supporters of MIT booed when TIBURON F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markus Heimrath didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximino Merexildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiberiu Caramarin, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. MIT were victorious despite being under pressure from TIBURON F.C for much of the match.
