Joaquin Sedillo was slow to take the kick. During this time MEXACOMX's players had a chance to rest. Joaquin Sedillo made a great header on MEXACOMX's corner, it was just that Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González managed to reach the ball for a save. If Ricardo Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 30 minutes into the match, Ricardo Guerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nacho González. Astillero del Guayas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Guerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 39th minute of the match, Xaiver Ascarretazabal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Januário Rangel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Osvaldo Gaufred had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nacho González stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wu Liang Mo's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mattias Svan made a kick off. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Astillero del Guayas from getting a goal against them. Gustav Vinström hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Alvaro Masa in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MEXACOMX's Wu Liang Mo. A collision led to MEXACOMX getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gogo Anaya hit a great ball. Januário Rangel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaiver Ascarretazabal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Januário Rangel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xaiver Ascarretazabal's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Wu Liang Mo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Januário Rangel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xaiver Ascarretazabal in the 70th minute of play. In the 76th minute Xaiver Ascarretazabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Januário Rangel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Astillero del Guayas were awarded a corner. Bagui Lizana went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Astillero del Guayas's corner Bagui Lizana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Januário Rangel quite easily take care of the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Ricardo Guerra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nacho González, 1-4. With his leg Nacho González managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ricardo Guerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Nacho González made a huge save. With a little luck, Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González got control of the ball when Ricardo Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Astillero del Guayas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching MEXACOMX's performance. The match ended with a win for MEXACOMX.
