Dalmo Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnulfo Tercero in the 14th minute of play. Agustín Álvarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesare Cardillo having to interfere. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lechuguitas F.C.! Cesare Cardillo went to the wrong direction when Emanuel Bergfelt was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Moneyball's zone, Anton Bârsan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Tasso came out of the goal and Anton Bârsan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute Agustín Álvarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Cardillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustín Álvarez received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cesare Cardillo came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Álvarez slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 38th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Lechuguitas F.C.'s goalkeeper Cesare Cardillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuel Bergfelt. Cesare Cardillo made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Emanuel Bergfelt sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Moneyball made a substitution. Natanael Matorin replaced Emanuel Bergfelt. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agustín Álvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Anton Bârsan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Moneyball's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Bârsan came free, but Dalmo Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesare Cardillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustín Álvarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Lechuguitas F.C. getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Arnulfo Tercero hit a great ball. Moneyball's Stanislav Mikolášek was substituted for Mümtaz Yetiş. Lechuguitas F.C. made a substitution. Juan Pueblo replaced Florentino Nabar. The supporters of Moneyball booed when Lechuguitas F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Tercero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Agustín Álvarez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moneyball's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Álvarez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cesare Cardillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
