The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdl Steinmetz during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Manchester United F.C.'s Ferdl Steinmetz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustacio Soter in the 26th minute of play. The corner ended in Dennis Bibby almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito did a great save. Gilberto Gonzo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dieguinho Amaral in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seth Mann saved Manchester United F.C. from getting behind. Ruy Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Seth Mann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruy Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Seth Mann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Sérgio Gonçalves managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieguinho Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito got control of the ball when Dennis Bibby tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Dennis Bibby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester United F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Bibby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Manchester United F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
