The throw-in from Virgilio Maraman in the 4th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Honung's Sten Wennersten. A collision led to Estación Q. getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Modesto Jaunzuria hit a great ball. In the 6th minute King Puck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Nihat Yıldıray saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Estación Q.'s Andrzej Zapolski in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honung's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Honung booed when Estación Q. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Chap didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, Estación Q.'s Ziya Özcakir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aristide Beșliu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16th minute Estación Q. were awarded a corner. Andrzej Zapolski went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Estación Q.'s Enginalp İdilkurt getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Estación Q.'s Arif Nihat Yıldıray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Lehoi in the 18th minute of play. Arif Nihat Yıldıray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Šuker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ziya Özcakir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrzej Zapolski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Aristide Beșliu made a huge save. Arif Nihat Yıldıray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Šuker, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Honung's Aristide Beșliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrzej Zapolski in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Šuker in the 41st minute of play forced Estación Q.'s goalkeeper Arif Nihat Yıldıray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Håkan Šuker to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Estación Q.'s Flavio Chap got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Honung's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Andrzej Zapolski was slow to take the kick. During this time Estación Q.'s players had a chance to rest. Aristide Beșliu came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Estación Q.'s Andrzej Zapolski. But to his dismay, Andrzej Zapolski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 62 minutes into the match, Estación Q.'s goalkeeper Arif Nihat Yıldıray had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Håkan Šuker. 75 minutes into the match, Estación Q.'s goal looked a bit too open when Angel Lehoi came free, but Arif Nihat Yıldıray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrzej Zapolski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aristide Beșliu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Andrzej Zapolski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Honung made a substitution. Rune Fredriksson replaced Juan Manuel Vargas. Honung's Malcolm Lindström was substituted for Angel Lehoi. Estación Q. made a substitution. Mauro Todor replaced Ziya Özcakir.

The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Estación Q. had won after a very even match.
