In the 5th minute, Oliverio Huergo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Moran hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Quinito Nevares was a little too slow when Canor Carasa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gasteiz Erauzquin in the 16th minute of play forced Fire Breathers FC's goalkeeper Quinito Nevares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Canor Carasa got free with Quinito Nevares in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the game, Fire Breathers FC's Joao Artaza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Frontera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Marcelo Deco came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Deportivo ScrugenFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Deco couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the game Rencio Peral kicked a great long shot which passed Quinito Nevares straight ahead into the goal, Result 2-1. One couldn't see Rencio Peral behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. Dani Murgia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Frontera having to make a save. Deportivo ScrugenFC's Christian Frontera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joao Artaza in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Deportivo ScrugenFC got a freekick which was hit by Javiar Jordan. Fire Breathers FC's Dani Murgia got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joao Artaza hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Canor Carasa to make the kick off. Bakar Heneses sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Yiyo Encinas made a precise shot to the right of Christian Frontera. Deportivo ScrugenFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a rather tough play, Fire Breathers FC's Mauricio Bolaños got a free kick in the 70th minute. Christian Frontera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cordarrell Zabala in the 73rd minute of the match. Cordarrell Zabala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
