An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimiro Cordarell in the 4th minute of play forced Velez's goalkeeper Fulgencio Rioja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Velez defense, Casimiro Cordarell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulgencio Rioja. The Velez fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulgencio Rioja should have stopped the shot. Fulgencio Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Navarro in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Israel Oliviero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Casimiro Cordarell made a precise shot to the right of Fulgencio Rioja. Velez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 20 minutes into the game, Nippur de Lagash 2's Casimiro Cordarell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fulgencio Rioja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Fulgencio Rioja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Lehen in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Velez's Genaro Txurio got a free kick in the 30th minute. When Nippur de Lagash 2's Casimiro Cordarell in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Velez's goalie prevented a goal. In the 33rd minute, Gonçalo Bittencourt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tito Chayo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Casimiro Cordarell in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulgencio Rioja saved Velez from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Gonçalo Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tito Chayo was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 41 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's Casimiro Cordarell sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Rioja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernan Lehen to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casimiro Cordarell got free with Fulgencio Rioja in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fulgencio Rioja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo De Mitri in the 54th minute of the match. The corner led Nippur de Lagash 2's Casimiro Cordarell to fire away a dangerous shot which Fulgencio Rioja despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Casimiro Cordarell put it in 1-5 from a short distance just to the right of Fulgencio Rioja. Nippur de Lagash 2 were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Velez's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Israel Oliviero took the corner. Esteban Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Tito Chayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Velez's Fulgencio Rioja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Velez from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Bittencourt came free, but Tito Chayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 79 minutes on the clock, Jony Maidana commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Nippur de Lagash 2 made a substitution. Virgilio Emenon replaced Gavino De Mitri. Nippur de Lagash 2's Segundo Oro was substituted for Hernan Lehen. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Velez:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nippur de Lagash 2:s goal. Casimiro Cordarell shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 85 minutes into the match, Nippur de Lagash 2's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Ferman came free, but Tito Chayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Velez getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Götz Dubach hit a great ball. Israel Oliviero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fulgencio Rioja. Velez's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Segundo Oro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nippur de Lagash 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Segundo Oro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fulgencio Rioja breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Rioja made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Benjamin De Mitri sent off a good shot on target. Esteban Ferman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Tito Chayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Velez supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nippur de Lagash 2's performance. The match ended with a win for Nippur de Lagash 2.
