The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafa Lojewski showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Facundo Bot who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miau Stars's Abdulkadir Eraslan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Miau Stars booed when Go Ahead Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Ramírez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafa Lojewski came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Miau Stars's Flavinho Sousa. But to his dismay, Flavinho Sousa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 42 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's goalkeeper Abdulkadir Eraslan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bâru. Miau Stars:s Abdulkadir Eraslan showed great skill when he stopped Dani Carbajal:s penalty.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Fenomeno to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Miau Stars got a freekick which was hit by Marco Veremundo. After taking down the ball on Go Ahead Eagles's corner Fernando Amorebieta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abdulkadir Eraslan quite easily take care of the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
