The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Frederico Hendrickx kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nikolay Bonkov. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Garlic Eaters's goal looked a bit too open when Frederico Hendrickx came free, but Nikolay Bonkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Justin Collingwood in the 14th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jasper Attwood scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray Clemence, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Lilcho Ilchov came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nikolay Bonkov could save by the left post. Garlic Eaters's Nikolay Bonkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederico Hendrickx in the 37th minute of play. Nikolay Bonkov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yonas Sutrisna in the 39th minute of the match. Ray Clemence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justin Collingwood, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The supporters of PHOENIX SC booed when Garlic Eaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antony Best didn't get a good kick on the ball. PHOENIX SC made a substitution. Aryeh Markovich replaced Holin Probohudono. After 48 played minutes Garlic Eaters got a freekick which was hit by Antony Best. After the first half Garlic Eaters were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ray Clemence showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Hanley in the 52nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Antony Best got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 54th minute of the match Phoenix Kante sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nikolay Bonkov skillfully saved the ball. In the 56th minute Lilcho Ilchov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nikolay Bonkov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PHOENIX SC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Garlic Eaters's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Phoenix Kante took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Loren Coya advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-2 in the 57th minute. Nikolay Bonkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederico Hendrickx in the 95th minute of play. Aryeh Markovich kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
