Despite this Fisnik Fart quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Eric Donnarumma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Skager in the 10th minute of play. U21 Sweden's Fisnik Fart proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Sweden from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Novak Djokovic in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eric Donnarumma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th minute Kent Svanberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fisnik Fart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Sweden's Dennis Esbjörnsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Aleksander Liermann, made in the 28th minute of the game. Eric Donnarumma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Novak Djokovic in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edmund Niewiadomski during the 35th minute. Eric Donnarumma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Novak Djokovic in the 42nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Novak Djokovic's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Donnarumma was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. A nice corner shot did that Alexander Milošević got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eric Donnarumma quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Strandberg got free with Eric Donnarumma in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
