Elias Corneloup kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Borel in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş saved DeSTeRe from getting behind. After 21 minutes DeSTeRe's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristoforo Di Loreto who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristoforo Di Loreto got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Timóteo Infante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute DeSTeRe were awarded a corner. Diego Jaunzuria went to the cornerflag to take it. Zapryan Sakarov made a great header on DeSTeRe's corner, it was just that Lyon's Jâninho Potiguar managed to reach the ball for a save. Jean-Marc Coquerel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Lyon's Jâninho Potiguar got control of the ball when Ediberto Sampaio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jâninho Potiguar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto Sampaio in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

DeSTeRe's Gürhan Kamuran was substituted for Eray Çapan. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto Sampaio made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ediberto Sampaio in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jâninho Potiguar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Lyon booed when DeSTeRe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Čuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. 60 minutes into the match, DeSTeRe's Diego Jaunzuria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jâninho Potiguar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Diego Jaunzuria came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the DeSTeRe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Jaunzuria couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Juan Čuk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DeSTeRe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Lyon's Jean-Marc Coquerel got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 74thth minute of the game Diego Jaunzuria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyon's Jâninho Potiguar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jean-Marc Coquerel's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience was convinced that Ediberto Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jâninho Potiguar was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. DeSTeRe's Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Botte in the 78th minute of play. Jâninho Potiguar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ediberto Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Gazanfer Özcan Demirtaş made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Botte in the 85th minute of play. When DeSTeRe's Ediberto Sampaio in 87 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jâninho Potiguar guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Ediberto Sampaio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jâninho Potiguar. Jâninho Potiguar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Čuk in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Lyon getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Yohann Teyssedre hit a great ball. In the 93rd match minute, Lyon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alain Mainguet to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the game, Ediberto Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jâninho Potiguar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Jaunzuria in the 98th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jâninho Potiguar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. DeSTeRe were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lyon for a fine match.
