In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hamburg's goalkeeper Johnny Banks, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 12 minutes, Raúl van Beek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. François Rouvrais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Wynant having to interfere. In the 19th minute Pedrinho Neymar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Banks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Banks didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedrinho Neymar went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Johnny Banks stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raúl van Beek's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When M.⑪.M.'s Pedrinho Neymar, in the 26th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for M.⑪.M.. M.⑪.M.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Muhammad Bejaoui scored to the left of an out of position George Wynant, making the score, 1-1. Raúl van Beek took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johnny Banks. Johnny Banks dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Neymar in the 38th minute of the match. Pompiliu Roşculeţ sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raúl van Beek in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johnny Banks saved FC Hamburg from getting behind. In the 42nd minute M.⑪.M. were awarded a corner. Adrián Yeste went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 47th minute, Raúl van Beek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Johnny Banks was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho Neymar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pedrinho Neymar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Johnny Banks made a huge save. Johnny Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Neymar in the 71st minute of the match. George Wynant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Muhammad Bejaoui, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hamburg's zone, Pedrinho Neymar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Banks came out of the goal and Pedrinho Neymar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Hamburg made a substitution. Rafael Pausch replaced Chris-George Heirpoel. FC Hamburg's Johnny Banks proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hamburg from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by François Rouvrais in the 85th minute of play forced M.⑪.M.'s goalkeeper George Wynant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Wynant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Muhammad Bejaoui in the 87th minute of the match. George Wynant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
