The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thiago Motta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Hugo de Amorim made a huge save. Hugo de Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guilherme Souza went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Millano Almandoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gigio Buffon having to interfere. Guilherme Souza struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Hugo de Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Brazil. After 18 minutes U21 Brazil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulino Paião who took care of the corner kick. Paulino Paião made a great header on Mosqueteiros 4EVER's corner, it was just that U21 Brazil's Gigio Buffon managed to reach the ball for a save. 19 minutes into the game, Guilherme Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Hugo de Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gigio Buffon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Millano Almandoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gigio Buffon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Amílton Lucas went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Guilherme Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo de Amorim having to make a save. Hugo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guilherme Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Paulino Paião left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mosqueteiros 4EVER fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 37 minutes of play, Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Serafino Nafarroa made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigio Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gigio Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Paião, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd match minute, U21 Brazil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Arce to maneuver through the defense. Paulino Paião took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gigio Buffon. Gigio Buffon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. After the first half Mosqueteiros 4EVER were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guilherme Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hugo de Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte de Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Paulino Paião slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gigio Buffon. That made the score 2-5 after 53 minutes of play. Gigio Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafino Nafarroa, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Serafino Nafarroa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigio Buffon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Mosqueteiros 4EVER's Amílton Lucas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gigio Buffon. Gigio Buffon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Cláudio Favoretto replaced Zé Bala. Gigio Buffon made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Emilio Galsino sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th minute Elói Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo de Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Alcântara in the 78th minute of play. Hugo de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Paulino Paiãos short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Gigio Buffon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gigio Buffon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilio Galsino in the 87th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Millano Almandoz during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mosqueteiros 4EVER getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Millano Almandoz hit a great ball. The U21 Brazil fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mosqueteiros 4EVER were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
