In the 15th minute Florencio Jax shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Inter de Chillán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobías Izamit to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Rickard Erserman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alvaro Raymond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Inter de Chillán getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Salvador Mateluna hit a great ball. Anton Björnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Vatan Enfal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alvaro Raymond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alvaro Raymond to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Inter de Chillán's Salvador Mateluna got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Tobías Izamit hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Despidida AFC's Emanuel Lucila couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Inter de Chillán. The Despidida AFC fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Despidida AFC's Alvaro Raymond looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Arturo Arano replaced Kajetan Gdowik. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Arnaldo Detmer replaced Salvador Mateluna. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Michael Corleone hit a great ball. A hard shot by Tobías Izamit from long distance, 69 minutes into the match, got Fernando Selatse's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Anton Björnberg came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Robert Percha. But to his dismay, Robert Percha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fernando Selatse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eladio Araujo in the 79th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Percha came free, but Anton Björnberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse got control of the ball when Vatan Enfal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Robert Percha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despidida AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Percha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Björnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eladio Araujo took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Selatse. Fernando Selatse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Inter de Chillán players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
