In the 32ndth minute of the game Cristiano Correia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PoznanGalaxy's Henning Heringer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ioan Voicu made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Oalo Kara sent off a good shot on target. Ioan Voicu came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by PoznanGalaxy's Peter Grommers. But to his dismay, Peter Grommers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Henning Heringer yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obbo Tippelt in the 59th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
