In the 6th minute, Ciro Pirro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gabriel Porfiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. LA LUZ F.C.'s attentive Dawid Rojek managed to snatch the ball when Joe Kimutai made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. With a little luck, LA LUZ F.C.'s Miguel Ángel Torres got control of the ball when Yu Quan Di tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Liher hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ciro Pirro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel Porfiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Yu Quan Di got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Miguel Ángel Torres quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. LA LUZ F.C.'s Danilo Gonza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Joe Kimutai, made in the 21st minute of the game. Miguel Ángel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Liher in the 24th minute of play. Miguel Ángel Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Liher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LA LUZ F.C.'s Miguel Ángel Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save LA LUZ F.C. from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Pirro in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Pirro in the 31st minute of play forced Luganeros AFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yu Quan Di could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Miguel Ángel Torres made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Luis Vázquez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Ángel Torres. LA LUZ F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Vázquez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. LA LUZ F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Rojek in the 43rd minute. Joe Kimutai made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luis Vázquez. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Miguel Ángel Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Quan Di in the 57th minute of play. Gabriel Porfiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Pirro in the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, LA LUZ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Vázquez came free, but Miguel Ángel Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LA LUZ F.C.'s Jailson Britto was substituted for Ciro Pirro. Luganeros AFC made a substitution. Rey Ronaldo replaced Luis Vázquez. LA LUZ F.C. made a substitution. Atilla Açıkalın replaced Fabinho Tinoco. In the 64th minute, Joe Kimutai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rey Ronaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Ángel Torres. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rey Ronaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Claris in the 73rd minute of play forced LA LUZ F.C.'s goalkeeper Miguel Ángel Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Luganeros AFC's goalkeeper Gabriel Porfiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson Britto. In the 79thth minute of the game Rey Ronaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but LA LUZ F.C.'s Miguel Ángel Torres was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Jailson Britto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gabriel Porfiro. That made the score 1-2 in the 83 minute of play. LA LUZ F.C.'s Teo Venceslas was substituted for Dawid Rojek. The supporters of Luganeros AFC booed when LA LUZ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Seguinus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in LA LUZ F.C.'s zone, Eliseo Bittor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Ángel Torres came out of the goal and Eliseo Bittor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Ángel Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Oinaz in the 90th minute of the match. After some careless play in the LA LUZ F.C. defense, Rey Ronaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Ángel Torres. The LA LUZ F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Ángel Torres should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute of the match, Teo Venceslas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gabriel Porfiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Teo Venceslas struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Gabriel Porfiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LA LUZ F.C.. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
