Futuros FC's João Carlos Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik De Roost in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Stolniceanu in the 8th minute of play forced Futuros FC's goalkeeper João Carlos Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Carlos Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Guimarães in the 11th minute of play. Lyle Coppack showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Smith in the 13th minute of the match. João Carlos Andrade made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Mihăiţă Stolniceanu sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th match minute, Futuros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Ediberto de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Mihăiţă Stolniceanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João Carlos Andrade was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. João Carlos Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Stolniceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Futuros FC's goalkeeper João Carlos Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrián-Daniel Dobre. Lyle Coppack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krakaca Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Beto Smith scored 1-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lyle Coppack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrián-Daniel Dobre got free with João Carlos Andrade in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
