Eduardo Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dimo Figueres read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Hílton Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Atlético de Madrid getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. In the 59th minute, one of Abufari SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Abufari SC. After 63 played minutes Abufari SC got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Neto. Fran Abrego blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gabriel Cruz having to make a save.
