In the 14th minute Fan Lang Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adan Bembe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adan Bembe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fan Lang Ning in the 16th minute of the match. Villa La Perla's Pelle Maradona got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 18 minutes into the game, Juan-Pablo Leyarte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villa La Perla the free kick. Juan-Pablo Leyarte hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Astillero del Guayas's Nacho González played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Maradona in the 46th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ulizes Sola stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Adan Bembe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Xaiver Ascarretazabal fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Astillero del Guayas's protests and gave Xaiver Ascarretazabal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute of the match, Xaiver Ascarretazabal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adan Bembe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A collision led to Villa La Perla getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Hugo Jago hit a great ball. Adan Bembe acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 89th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Juan-Pablo Leyarte. Nacho González made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 손 흥 in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, Fan Lang Ning cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Adan Bembe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Astillero del Guayas's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
