With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ni Gang Yi in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Glogowski saved Club Atlético Atlanta from getting behind. Mugur Chiriac kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, F.C.BARLAD's goal looked a bit too open when Mugur Chiriac came free, but Wojtek Szczęsny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfonso Goicoechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Wojtek Szczęsny made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anselmo Nevada got free with Wojtek Szczęsny in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ni Gang Yi might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Glogowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ni Gang Yi ran back to his position shaking his head. Ni Gang Yi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pankracy Glogowski having to interfere. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ni Gang Yi, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Wojtek Szczęsny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Goicoechea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
