To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to DINAMO getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Alex Fința hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Ryszard Borcz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind DINAMO's goalkeeper Ysmael Marfil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Adriano Ribeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ysmael Marfil was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. The Obscurials's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adriano Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stig Sandström hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

DINAMO's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabian Spânu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edelmiro Mateo made a great header on The Obscurials's corner, it was just that DINAMO's Ysmael Marfil managed to reach the ball for a save. Adriano Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ysmael Marfil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play.
