Murilo da Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Li Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Capixaba's Cristóvão Varela was substituted for Nilmar Mota. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naldo Machado in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manoel Neuer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 72 minutes into the match, Atlético Capixaba's goal looked a bit too open when Xu Li Sang came free, but Murilo da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
