The crowd rose to their feet as The Obscurials's Adriano Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wojtek Szczęsny. That made the score 2-0 after 12 minutes of play. In the 14th minute Braulio Castel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zheng Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zheng Chao showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calistrat Bucuță, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. He was immediately shown a red card. 42 minutes into the game, one of The Obscurials:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ni Gang Yi made the kick off in the second half.
