AEK S.C's Rodrigo Hats was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernd Yuschni in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jelte Bleiswijk in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernd Yuschni prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 1947 FC's Jeremias Stephen suffered a sore thigh after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Konstantinos Kouventolakis charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Konstantinos Kouventolakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 20 minutes into the game, one of AEK S.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute there was a penalty for 1947 FC. Americo Artal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Thanasis Koltsidas. 1-1. In the 27th minute of the match AEK S.C got a corner. 1947 FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rodrigo Hats ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of 1947 FC booed when AEK S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donzel Goyeneta didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 30th minute of play forced 1947 FC's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanasis Koltsidas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huang Bing Ran, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 45th minute Huang Bing Ran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Koltsidas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AEK S.C booed when 1947 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Huang Bing Ran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

AEK S.C were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after 1947 FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rodrigo Hats took the corner. Thanasis Koltsidas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Huang Bing Ran in the 86th minute. Huang Bing Ran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thanasis Koltsidas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, AEK S.C's Konstantinos Kouventolakis got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Huang Bing Ran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thanasis Koltsidas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Huang Bing Ran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chants of 1947 FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as AEK S.C had held the ball for most of the match.
