The audience thought a goal was coming when Venancio Prejun got free with Higinio Aguilera in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Higinio Aguilera made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Venancio Prejun sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Jyrki Sillanpää shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Maradona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Les Tigres eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
