An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Souza in the 6th minute of play forced Metolokos MZ Clube's goalkeeper Romeu Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Zé Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metolokos MZ Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Brazil the free kick. Romeu Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the game, Matheus Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Metolokos MZ Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Brazil the free kick. In the 9th match minute, Metolokos MZ Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matheus Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Thiago Motta, 10 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Guilherme Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Romeu Netto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, U21 Brazil's Flávio Cannavaro got a free kick in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Metolokos MZ Clube! The referee gave U21 Brazil a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Guilherme Souza, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Metolokos MZ Clube's Romeu Netto. 1-2. The audience was convinced that Guilherme Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Netto was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Metolokos MZ Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Thiago Motta was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Brazil's players had a chance to rest. U21 Brazil's Thiago Motta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Romeu Netto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Romeu Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, U21 Brazil's Guilherme Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romeu Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Duarte de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Netto having to interfere. The Metolokos MZ Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Brazil were winning 1-3.

The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when Metolokos MZ Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guilherme Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romeu Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Souza in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Metolokos MZ Clube's goalkeeper Romeu Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte de Castro. Romeu Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guilherme Souza's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 64 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Guilherme Souza made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Netto was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Brazil's Kléberson Mazza was substituted for Duarte de Castro. In the 70th minute of the game Raimundo Mesquita made a throw-in which Murilo Catarinense played forward. 72 minutes into the match, Andrés Chavez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigio Buffon. U21 Brazil's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrés Chavez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Thiago Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thiago Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, U21 Brazil's Thiago Motta got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 78 minutes of play, U21 Brazil's Elói Alcântara made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Netto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elói Alcântara succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-6 in the 84th playminute. After 92 minutes of play, Metolokos MZ Clube's Andrés Chavez made it 3-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gigio Buffon was left in no man's land by his defense there! When U21 Brazil's Elói Alcântara in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metolokos MZ Clube's goalie prevented a goal. U21 Brazil's Elói Alcântara was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 98th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal.
