Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Álvaro Quintanilha in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blair McCormick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Sporting Clube Patrício's Álvaro Quintanilha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Álvaro Quintanilha in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Blair McCormick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Donatello came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Almiro Setúbal could save by the left post. Blair McCormick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Sporting Clube Patrício's Álvaro Quintanilha looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Quintanilha in the 31st minute of play. Donato Guerra hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A beautiful save bye Taquaral Campineiro's goalie prevented a goal. 34 minutes into the game, William Silva was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taquaral Campineiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Clube Patrício the free kick. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Álvaro Quintanilha in the 35th minute of play. Blair McCormick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Álvaro Quintanilha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blair McCormick was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Almiro Setúbal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 43rd minute. After the first half Sporting Clube Patrício were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Geraldo de Godoi made the kick off in the second half. Almiro Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 51 minutes into the match, Albino Steven notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sporting Clube Patrício's Almiro Setúbal. Almiro Setúbal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 54th minute Albino Steven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Almiro Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Álvaro Quintanilha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Blair McCormick skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 57th minute of the match, Yuri Gaspar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Blair McCormick was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Blair McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Quintanilha in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th match minute, Taquaral Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Teixeira to maneuver through the defense. Blair McCormick stood somewhat misplaced when Álvaro Quintanilha came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 62 minute. In the 68th match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valter Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. Salvador Bragança hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Álvaro Quintanilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair McCormick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Taquaral Campineiro's Waldemar Baptista got a free kick in the 76th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Yuri Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blair McCormick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Furtado in the 80th minute of play. Almiro Setúbal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Donatello in the 83rd minute of play. Valter Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Almiro Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Steven, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geraldo de Godoi in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Almiro Setúbal saved Sporting Clube Patrício from getting behind. Álvaro Quintanilha came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Blair McCormick could save by the left post. After 93 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo de Godoi. After a defensive mix-up in Taquaral Campineiro's zone, Álvaro Quintanilha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blair McCormick came out of the goal and Álvaro Quintanilha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Álvaro Quintanilha in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blair McCormick saved Taquaral Campineiro from getting behind. A nice corner shot did that Nélson Portugal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Blair McCormick quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
