The supporters of Korona Kielce booed when AFK Petržalka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adam Obert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFK Petržalka's goalkeeper Adam Hrdina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michal Hudák's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gary Ingram read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. AFK Petržalka's Adam Hrdina proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save AFK Petržalka from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Stephen Duxbury put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Adam Hrdina. AFK Petržalka's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stephen Duxbury was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Korona Kielce's Marcin Cebula was substituted for Raşit Alpaslan. 75 minutes into the match, Korona Kielce's goal looked a bit too open when Michal Hudák came free, but Gary Ingram reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Marcin Cebula was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
