With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristo Abalos in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Blair McCormick saved Taquaral Campineiro from getting behind. Taquaral Campineiro were furious when Waldemar Baptista was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Waldemar Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andres Eztebe during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lázaro Odon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Narciso Ekain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blair McCormick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match, Albino Steven got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lázaro Odon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Blair McCormick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Gonsalve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 played minutes Taquaral Campineiro got a freekick which was hit by Armando Donatello. Taquaral Campineiro's Blair McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Oskarbi in the 39th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ESQUIU FC's zone, Geraldo de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lázaro Odon came out of the goal and Geraldo de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the match, ESQUIU FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geraldo de Godoi came free, but Lázaro Odon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Taquaral Campineiro's Armando Donatello got a free kick in the 45th minute. After some careless play in the ESQUIU FC defense, Geraldo de Godoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lázaro Odon. The ESQUIU FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lázaro Odon should have stopped the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristo Abalos to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo de Godoi in the 55th minute of play forced ESQUIU FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Taquaral Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Silva to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of ESQUIU FC booed when Taquaral Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind ESQUIU FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Odon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matheus Figueiredo during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Matheus Figueiredo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Lázaro Odon came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Taquaral Campineiro's Albino Steven. But to his dismay, Albino Steven quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Armando Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Lázaro Odon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 minutes ESQUIU FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ramón Leme who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Taquaral Campineiro booed when ESQUIU FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Truylos didn't get a good kick on the ball. ESQUIU FC's Lázaro Odon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Leme in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Donatello in the 86th minute of play forced ESQUIU FC's goalkeeper Lázaro Odon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Narciso Ekain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blair McCormick having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Geraldo de Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Taquaral Campineiro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the ESQUIU FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Taquaral Campineiro.
