After a rather tough play, St.Mirren's Stephen Barnfather got a free kick in the 8th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Steve Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steve Rogers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Santa Fe's Walter Wylie threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Ramos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Fernando Pratto got free with Walter Wylie in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Ramos scored 3-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walter Wylie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, St.Mirren's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Ramos came free, but Walter Wylie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Fernando Pratto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Walter Wylie came out and tried to block the shot, but Juan Fernando Pratto slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the match, Rafael Ramos notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of St.Mirren's Walter Wylie. Walter Wylie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 27 minutes into the match, Luis María Guadalupe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Walter Wylie. St.Mirren's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis María Guadalupe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Walter Wylie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Fernando Pratto in the 31st minute of the match. St.Mirren's Walter Wylie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Fernando Pratto in the 32nd minute of play. Walter Wylie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Ramos in the 35th minute of the match. Santa Fe's Luis María Guadalupe suffered a concussion after 36 minutes and had to leave the field. Santa Fe's Sandro Coisne was substituted for Luis María Guadalupe. Walter Wylie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Walter Wylie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Tiniebra in the 43rd minute of play. Walter Wylie was a little too slow when Juan Fernando Pratto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 7-0. Walter Wylie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Tiniebra, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmelo Tiniebra in the 53rd minute of play forced St.Mirren's goalkeeper Walter Wylie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, Godofredo Rik made a precise shot to the right of Walter Wylie. St.Mirren's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 15-0. In the 95th minute Romulo Lalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Wylie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Lalla in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Walter Wylie saved St.Mirren from getting behind.
