If Emil Zbytniewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Qin Kun Xi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Qin Kun Xi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulryk Bugajski. Argentino de Buenos Aires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Qin Kun Xi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Argentino de Buenos Aires were furious when Claudio Bartuelo was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 45 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Argentino de Buenos Aires! In the 48th minute there was a penalty for Velez sarsfield. Fabio Regis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ulryk Bugajski. 1-2. Argentino de Buenos Aires made a substitution. Jose Gamus replaced Carolo Frasquito.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mario Isusko made a kick off. Argentino de Buenos Aires's Jimeno Maurino got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulryk Bugajski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qin Kun Xi's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 93 minutes of play, Velez sarsfield's Fabio Regis made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ulryk Bugajski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ulryk Bugajski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Walter Pico's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. After 97 played minutes Argentino de Buenos Aires got a freekick which was hit by Jose Gamus. 99 minutes into the game, Walter Pico cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Ulryk Bugajski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Velez sarsfield walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
