The audience was convinced that Garth Brough's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gigel Botescu was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Gigel Botescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garth Brough in the 18th minute of play. Gigel Botescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rufus Roach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 22nd minute of play forced KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Gigel Botescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in KS Olimpia Warszawa's zone, Garth Brough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigel Botescu came out of the goal and Garth Brough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jarrod Mcmillan kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Damazy Joks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Keylor Navas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hektor Fitrakis in the 29th minute of the match. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Walery Glapiak managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jarrod Mcmillan in the 32 minute of the game. Hektor Fitrakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Keylor Navas made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damazy Joks in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keylor Navas saved Australian Youth Academy from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Brough in the 34th minute of play forced KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Gigel Botescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damazy Joks scored 1-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keylor Navas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd minute, Hermengildo Mambru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Jason Butterfield got a free kick in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damazy Joks to make the kick off. The throw-in from Jarrod Mcmillan in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KS Olimpia Warszawa's Ignacy Sroka. Garth Brough blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gigel Botescu having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Gigel Botescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garth Brough. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damazy Joks in the 58th minute of play forced Australian Youth Academy's goalkeeper Keylor Navas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes in the game, Damazy Joks dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Garth Brough in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gigel Botescu, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 63 played minutes Australian Youth Academy got a freekick which was hit by Jarrod Mcmillan. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jarrod Mcmillan hit a great ball. Damazy Joks recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when KS Olimpia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kornatowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Lachezar Tetevenski was substituted for Hektor Fitrakis. The supporters of Australian Youth Academy booed when KS Olimpia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kornatowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garth Brough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Sharma Sharma was substituted for Damazy Joks. 81 minutes into the game, Garth Brough cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gigel Botescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute Sharma Sharma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keylor Navas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Fletcher Baba came free, but Gigel Botescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
