An unexpectedly hard shot by Adérito Pinheiro in the 6th minute of play forced Hahay's goalkeeper Edgar Smuskiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmar Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Claudemiro Tristão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radoslaw Zakrzewski's late challenge caught a GD Almargense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Smuskiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Eiró in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Celso Eiró was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Delmar Berenguer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Claudemiro Tristão was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Celso Eiró could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Edgar Smuskiewicz made a huge save. GD Almargense made a substitution. Alexandre Valadares replaced Joško Gvardiol. A collision led to Hahay getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Boruc Radzyminski hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, GD Almargense's Zarco Patrício nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edgar Smuskiewicz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Alexandre Valadares came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edgar Smuskiewicz could save by the left post. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Berenguer in the 70th minute of play. Sebastian Fleischer replaced Basilio Nataniel. 90 minutes into the match, Hahay's goalkeeper Edgar Smuskiewicz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Valadares. Edgar Smuskiewicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zarco Patrício, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Despite being the better team, GD Almargense failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
