Ján Oblak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Trancoso in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Wittbach SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Fabinho dos Santos came free, but Ján Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ján Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. A collision led to Wittbach SSA getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Roberto Ayala hit a great ball. Roberto-Carlos Håland kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Club Athletico Paulistano's Zé Paulo de Senna got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Ted Lasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Acácio Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Acácio Lara had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Ted Lasso from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Lasso in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Acácio Lara saved Club Athletico Paulistano from getting behind. Ján Oblak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabinho dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Ján Oblak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Ikalewicz in the 33rd minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Wittbach SSA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Constantino Frederik to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ted Lasso to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Bernard Chludzinski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wittbach SSA and the Club Athletico Paulistano players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Lasso in the 55th minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabinho dos Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ján Oblak made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Ján Oblak successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Acácio Lara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jedrzej Ikalewicz, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ján Oblak made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Zé Paulo de Senna sent off a good shot on target. Wittbach SSA's Ján Oblak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Trancoso in the 74th minute of play. Club Athletico Paulistano's Acácio Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borys Kolba in the 80th minute of play. Acácio Lara came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Wittbach SSA's Borys Kolba. But to his dismay, Borys Kolba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Borys Kolba in the 87th minute of play. If Fabinho dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Club Athletico Paulistano players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Wittbach SSA.
