Israel Martxelin hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Martxelin in the 17th minute of play forced Novokuznetsk's goalkeeper Antonis Anastasiadis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The attack was good, but when Robben De Mulder in the 20th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Novokuznetsk's Igor Dudko was substituted for Veniamin Elyutin. The supporters of Dolores booed when Novokuznetsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Rozenbaum didn't get a good kick on the ball.
