The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Calisto got free with Norberto Tino in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Norberto Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Calisto in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Kellbom in the 36th minute of play forced Santa Lucia de Merlo's goalkeeper Norberto Tino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Norberto Tino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dmitriy Bogaenko in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Dmitriy Bogaenko made a precise shot to the right of Norberto Tino. Santa Lucia de Merlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Norberto Tino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaspar Calisto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascal Som hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Ralf Rapp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Gaspar Calisto came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Днепр ФК fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Calisto couldn't finish the play.
