Countdown FC's Er Miner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Theo Hayles in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute Club Sportivo Italiano were awarded a corner. Luisito Bikendi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Club Sportivo Italiano's Luisito Bikendi to fire away a dangerous shot which Er Miner despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Er Miner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Pes in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Countdown FC defense, Evelio Pes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Er Miner. The Countdown FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Er Miner should have stopped the shot. Theo Hayles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Er Miner having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Pes in the 21st minute of play forced Countdown FC's goalkeeper Er Miner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Countdown FC's Er Miner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Pes in the 21st minute of play. Er Miner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Hayles in the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen got control of the ball when Washington Demartis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Countdown FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dida Carioca in the 26th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Evelio Pes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Sportivo Italiano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evelio Pes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Countdown FC booed when Club Sportivo Italiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Steinitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogelio Claris hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Er Miner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Hayles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Vítor Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Club Sportivo Italiano's Evelio Pes got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Vítor Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Theo Hayles kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Araoz during the 59th minute. Rogelio Claris helped the player get up and apologised. Reynaldo Stephen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Demartis, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 70th match minute, Countdown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Carioca to maneuver through the defense. Countdown FC's Er Miner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisito Bikendi in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Vítor Barros in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reynaldo Stephen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute of the match Countdown FC got a corner. Club Sportivo Italiano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dida Carioca ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Countdown FC's corner Dida Carioca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reynaldo Stephen quite easily take care of the ball. Washington Demartis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Evelio Pes struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Er Miner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Sportivo Italiano. If Washington Demartis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Washington Demartis made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Stephen. Club Sportivo Italiano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Countdown FC's Dorival Tróia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reynaldo Stephen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
