Evelio Pes started the match with the kick off. Theo Hayles might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Er Miner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Theo Hayles ran back to his position shaking his head. The Club Sportivo Italiano fans' excitement grew in the 4th match minute when Club Sportivo Italiano's Theo Hayles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Club Sportivo Italiano's Reynaldo Stephen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Vítor Barros in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Pes in the 13th minute of play forced Countdown FC's goalkeeper Er Miner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evelio Pes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Basilio Araoz hit a great ball. Dida Carioca kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Countdown FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luisito Bikendi was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Sportivo Italiano's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Club Sportivo Italiano's corner Leon Egun fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Er Miner quite easily take care of the ball. Er Miner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evelio Pes in the 31st minute of play. Club Sportivo Italiano were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Countdown FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luisito Bikendi took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Theo Hayles heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Washington Demartis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Sportivo Italiano getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Evelio Pes hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, Basilio Araoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Stephen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Vítor Barros's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Evelio Pes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Er Miner. Countdown FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evelio Pes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Countdown FC's Er Miner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Countdown FC from getting a goal against them. Adriano Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Reynaldo Stephen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Er Miner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo Hayles in the 65th minute of the match. Er Miner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Pes's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Washington Demartis came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Countdown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Washington Demartis couldn't finish the play. Reynaldo Stephen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Barros in the 76th minute of the match. When João Vítor Barros came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Countdown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Vítor Barros couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Countdown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Pes came free, but Er Miner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Countdown FC's Washington Demartis got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Countdown FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Theo Hayles fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Countdown FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Club Sportivo Italiano's performance. The match ended with a win for Club Sportivo Italiano.
