AC LeX Luthor's Maurício Bomba proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save AC LeX Luthor from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, AC LeX Luthor's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Frasco came free, but Maurício Bomba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Marquez in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dani Vassaras saved La France FC from getting behind. Maurício Bomba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustavo Frasco in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Karl-Axel Kielstedt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dani Vassaras. La France FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karl-Axel Kielstedt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a little luck, AC LeX Luthor's Maurício Bomba got control of the ball when Gustavo Frasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dani Vassaras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Frasco in the 62nd minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dani Vassaras made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Errando in the 67th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Davids in the 70th minute of play forced AC LeX Luthor's goalkeeper Maurício Bomba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The AC LeX Luthor players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
